"The street his market place, a push cart his store, this son of foreign immigrants shouts his slogan of prosperity -- 'Nice-a Da Banan.'" Italian pushcart vendor Banana growing in Fiji Islands Shipping bananas to the US
Informative little piece, that kind of makes the whole process of getting bananas to one's table seem a little depressing. The film's odd title "Nice-a da Banan" is making fun of the cart vendor's Italian accent. We find out that one of the places the bananas come to the US is from Fiji. Apparently, the Fiji men are basically slaves, earning a dismal income and live on the land owners property most of their lives. But hey what's it worth to have a "Nice-a da banan"!?

Good, if slightly racist, and curiously rooting for slave labor, film about the production of bananas. Film mainly focuses on the plantations of banana plants, where it's implied that workers of all ages are working to get your bananas on your table! Some good footage here.
